but they also left me with more than my fair share of injuries. From concussions, to broken

passions are, which is helping people transform their quality of life through physical fitness. My
experiences have allowed me to gain a unique perspective on how transformative and impactful

settings, but also in a physical therapy clinic as a PT aide. After growing in multiple different
professional roles in the fitness field and business leadership positions, I concluded that creating

Hello and let me introduce myself. I am Michael Lucas, an ISSA certified personal trainer here to help you get in the best shape of your life.
My story is quite different than most trainers who have mesomorph genetics or who developed their physique through sport activities. I didn’t start that way. I started training in my mom’s kitchen that had red carpet way back when I was in seventh grade. I purchased a Charles Atlas workout program from a commercial ad I saw on TV. The ad intrigued me because the plan did not require weights or gym membership. The advertisement promised to build muscle for anybody willing to do regular exercise in the comfort of their home. So, I pulled two kitchen table chairs out. Turned them facing each other and did push-ups with palms gripped on the edge of the chair seats. I then turned a chair facing out and did tricep dips and other exercises using body weight. I had a thin physique, weighed 90+ lbs and tried to do everything within my power to cross 100 lbs like all my peers, especially the ones in P.E. class who I got paired up with during wrestling season.
Besides having a thin physique, my dad suffered hypertension and high cholesterol was a hereditary trait. My dad had a triple bypass procedure in his late 60’s and is a strong survivor, still walking unassisted into his 90’s. Like him, I want to squash the hereditary health traits that run in my family.
During the years, I had to work at maintaining muscle mass. I’ve worked with personal trainers and learned from their techniques to gain muscle mass and intake the prescribed lean calories to gain weight. Contrary to my adolescent years, my personal focus has shifted from muscle gain to weight loss; flexibility training to deliver full range of joint motion; and strength building to prevent shoulder and back and knee injury.
With that said, besides having a training certification, I have a passion about overall health and fitness. It’s been a life-long journey for me and I am committed to help others along their journey towards getting in the best shape of their life.
